Two childhood best friends who, from the very start, always had each other’s backs through the hardest times. Whether it was grief, heartbreak, or life’s trials, we always knew we could count on one another. What we didn’t know yet was that these foundations would one day become the heart of a project bigger than us.

For Thom, everything collapsed in just two weeks. He was living his childhood dream in New Brunswick: university hockey, studies he loved, a relationship, friends, the athlete lifestyle. Nothing hinted that it could all fall apart. Until that concussion hit him head-on. Despite the symptoms: headaches, loss of balance, the feeling of living in a fog, he kept playing, pushing his body and mind to the point of no return. The damage wasn’t just physical anymore, it was mental too. Anxiety, insecurity, and dependency took over. In short, in two weeks, Thom went from living his dream life to no longer being able to play hockey, attend university, or even read properly. That same week, he got into a car accident (total loss). The next day, his girlfriend showed up to tell him she was leaving.

Meanwhile, Fel was following a straight path. Pure sciences, then engineering. On paper, everything looked perfect; the kind of track that reassures parents. But inside, it was empty. Every class behind a desk was a reminder he didn’t belong there. At 22, he dropped it all. No more school, no plan. Just three months alone with his thoughts, wondering who he really was. Three months of doubts and sleepless nights, but also sparks. Because deep down, that flame had always been there: style, design, and most of all, helping others through creativity. So he went back to that. His sketchbooks. His outfits. His passion. And for the first time, he decided to stop playing small. He took social media seriously and started showing the world what truly lit him up.

That’s when it all came together. Thom, standing on the edge, picked up his phone and called his childhood best friend. A long conversation, hours of truth, and an idea that became undeniable: transform the pain into action. Stop hiding. Stop staying silent.
